It's been almost a month since the study abroad experience has come to an end. The trip home was almost as bad as the trip over there. There was delayed flights and missed connections and I didn't arrive when I was supposed to.
It is a little strange to run into my friends after not seeing for them for 6 months. The culture shock, or reverse culture shock isn't as bad as I thought it would be. I have to change the routines that I adopted in Sweden, but other than that everything is the same. One thing I will not miss about Sweden is the public transportation. I like having the ability to drive myself and not have to craft my schedule around a bus that runs at twenty six or fifty seven after the hour.
I'm grateful that I got the opportunity to study abroad. Without sounding too cliche....it really was an experience that changed my life. I learned a lot about myself, and a lot in general. I made some great friendships that I won't forget and, I learned a lot about other people. One of my favorite parts about the trip was just trying to understand other people. There were a lot of countries and cultures present at my school and trying to find a compromise that fit everyone was so interesting to me.
While I was over there I also got the chance to travel. I can now add Finland, Russia, Estonia, Denmark, Belgium, Poland, and Spain to my list of countries visited.
Below are some of my favorite memories from my trip.
